Where great companions are raised with heart — not just for today, but for life.
Bringing a puppy into your life is a big decision — and at Carousel Acres, we take that seriously.
We’re a small, intentional breeding program in Arab, Alabama focused on raising AKC-registered Dachshunds and Black and Tan Coonhounds with excellent temperament, structure, and soul. Whether you’re dreaming of a couch cuddle buddy, a confident conformation prospect, or a pup to take to the field — we’re here to help you find your perfect match.
Our puppies are born in our home, raised as family, and placed with families who value quality, communication, and a lifelong connection.
You won’t just find a dog here. You’ll find your next great companion — and a breeder who has your back, from day one.
What Sets Us Apart
In a world of endless puppy ads and fast sales, we slow down — and do things right.
At Carousel Acres, we focus on quality over quantity. Every litter is thoughtfully planned, and every puppy is raised with hands-on love, purpose, and intention.
When you choose us, you can expect:
- AKC-registered puppies from carefully chosen, health-tested parents
- Temperament-focused pairings for stable, loving, trainable pups
- Daily socialization and a safe, nurturing environment using Puppy Culture and BAB protocols
- Lifetime breeder support — because raising a puppy is a journey, and you don’t have to do it alone
We’re not a kennel. We’re not a puppy mill. We’re a family that loves these breeds — and we want you to love them too.
Miniature Dachshunds
These small, mighty dogs are full of personality, loyalty, and charm. Our Doxies are bred for sound structure, even temperaments, and versatility — whether they’re warming your lap, winning ribbons, or joining you on walks.
Black & Tan Coonhounds
Confident, intelligent, and gentle — our Coonhounds are just as happy lounging with the family as they are doing what they were bred to do. We focus on strong instinct, solid conformation, and easy-going temperaments.
